What is Hot Yoga?
Hot Yoga is a series of traditional hatha yoga poses and breathing exercises, suitable for all ages and levels of ability. Each posture stretches, strengthens and prepares specific muscles, ligaments, and joints needed for the next posture. Hot Yoga also stimulates the organs, glands, and nerves, moving fresh oxygenated blood to 100 percent of the body, restoring all systems to a healthy working order. Our 60 min class offerings deliver total health through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the body. Hot Yoga helps prevent illness and injuries while promoting weight loss and limiting the effects of aging. We are committed to using the best new technologies to improve the experience of our students.
Our Sarasota Hot Yoga classes are done in a Far-Infrared Heated Room (100-105 degrees) to warm your muscles, prevent injury, allow a deeper workout and cleanse the body by flushing toxins. Our yoga room also has a UV Air Treatment System that uses Ultraviolet light to kill bacteria, viruses, mold and germs while it deodorizes the air. Our students love knowing that when they breathe deeply the air is fresh and clean! Why the Heated Room?
The heat combined with the poses is what makes Hot Yoga so special. The room is heated intentionally to warm muscles, which allows you to go deeper in a shorter amount of time, seeing results. Heat takes the trauma out of stretching, heals and also helps prevent injuries. Also, your skin is the largest eliminative organ in your body. As you work deep within your body, you sweat, flushing toxins out of your body, giving you a wonderful glow from head to toe.
Is it a Cardio Workout?
Absolutely! Our classes provide cardiovascular benefits! Your heart is a muscle and it responds to demand. The holding as well as moving from one posture to another combined with the heat, create that challenge and demand. And through that, we develop focus, stronger connection to breath, stamina and a stronger heart! One of the best things about hot yoga is the way it increases your heart health and blood circulation.
